Hexagonal Microparticles from Bile Acids

Inspired by processes found in human body. We have introduced metal-organic materials derived from natural bile acids. Bile-acid-based ligands form large concave chiral supramolecular complexes which self-organize when being found in the presence of water into highly symmetric hexagonal microparticles.
